The 7th edition of the AWA INTERNATIONAL TROPHY offers a high-level interclub challenge featuring the best clubs from France and abroad. It celebrates the origins of AquaWalking by focusing on paddle events (single and double).

For France, the top 10 clubs in the top 20 at the end of the 2024-2025 national rankings are expected! For clubs from other countries, we are expecting Spain, Italy, San Marino, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, Algeria, and Tunisia.

Club registration will open on May 1, 2026, and will be validated upon payment of a €100 club registration fee.

The rules of participation are based on perfect fairness between clubs. Each club may only enter a set number of athletes per event and per gender.

Here is a preview of the events on the program:

• 800m barehanded in pairs of men and pairs of women (2 timed heats): 4-lap circuit with start and finish on the beach. One men’s team and one women’s team per club.
• 200m single paddle in men’s pairs and women’s pairs (2 timed heats): 1-loop circuit starting and finishing on the beach. One men’s team and one women’s team per club.
• 50m solo double paddle, men and women: straight circuit starting and finishing in the water (2 timed heats). One man and one woman per club.
• 4x50m mixed relay (2 men + 2 women) barehanded – timed heats and finals with the 4 best teams, starting and finishing on the beach. One team per club.
• 6.5km Aqua Beach Trail – men and women. Two men and two women per club.

A “club team” consists of a minimum of 2 men and 2 women and a maximum of 9 men and 9 women per club.

Registration for the races will open on May 18, 2026, and close on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at 8 p.m.

Registration is per athlete. The fee is €20 per athlete regardless of the number of events they compete in.

The maximum number of participating clubs is 16. Depending on the number of entries for each event, this number may increase to 20 clubs.

The competition will last one and a half days, from 8 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, to 1 p.m. on Sunday, October 4, 2026.

The athletes in each delegation represent their club and their country.

The head of each club is a mission leader.

A flag bearer for each club must be designated based on their track record and qualities in promoting the development of AquaWalking.
